6. Third-Party Links
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites linked from our platform. Review their privacy policies before sharing information.
7. Google Calendar and Google Meet
Tutors and families can choose to connect a Google Calendar from Account Settings. This is optional. Nothing is accessed unless you click “Connect Google Calendar” and approve access on Google’s consent screen.
- What we access: permission to create, update, and delete events on your Google Calendar (Google’s “calendar.events” permission). We use it only for the BTG Academy sessions you book or teach. We do not read, copy, or store your other calendar events, your contacts, or your email.
- How we use it: when a session is booked, we add it to your calendar with the session details and a Google Meet link, and we update or remove that event if the session is rescheduled or cancelled.
- What we store: the access token Google issues to us and the IDs of the calendar events we create, so we can manage those events.
- Sharing: we do not sell Google user data, share it with third parties, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. It is used only to provide the calendar feature you turned on.
- Disconnecting and deletion: click “Disconnect Google Calendar” in Account Settings at any time. We delete the stored token and revoke our access with Google. You can also remove access from the “Third-party apps & services” page of your Google Account, or email jsinanan@btgatutoring.com to have your data deleted.
BTG Academy’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
